Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the upcoming Young Sports Star of the Year award.

The three finalists have been honoured for their remarkable achievements over the last year.

Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a record-breaking innings.

Littler won the award in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The three contenders were revealed during a live broadcast on a popular morning radio program.

This year's winner will be revealed live on the prestigious sports ceremony show on Thursday, 18 December.

The show will be televised from seven in the evening GMT.

Michelle Agyemang

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Just three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.

She came off the bench to score vital last-gasp goals in both the last eight and last four matches.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the top young European talent.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.

"Being on the shortlist for this honour is an honour," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler kicked off the year in spectacular fashion as - while still 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

And he wasn't finished there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, smashing the previous record.

"Being nominated for the honour once more is a big honour," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a special memory for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and rose to fame with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it inspires more young women to get into cricket."
